Membership of PaTHES is open to all those involved and interested in philosophy and social theory of higher education – broadly construed.

Membership Fees
Membership runs from April to April. That means that the annual fee provides membership for the current year until 31 March. To ensure equity in membership of the Society, membership rates, differentiated by high-GDP countries and low-GDP countries (here we use the European Educational Research Association’s list of low-GDP countries). Membership fees are as follows (as of November 2025):
i. High GDP Individual membership: €40
ii. High GDP Student membership: €20
iii. Low GDP Individual membership: €10
iv. Low GDP Student membership/Unwaged membership: €5
